We have blocked a total of 50 rooms at three hotels in the West End neighborhood, in between Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom. They are all steps away from each other, less than a 10-minute walk to the Dupont Circle Metro (red line) and the Foggy Bottom-GWU Metro (blue line), and a 15- to 30-minute walk to restaurants and clubs in Georgetown and Dupont Circle.

There are several other hotels—all a few minutes walk from the Yours Truly—including the Washington Marriott, Ritz-Carlton, Embassy Suites, and St. Gregory. Airbnbs are also plentiful.

We recommend flying into Reagan (we DC natives still call it National) or Dulles if flights are available. BWI also services the area but is further away and traffic can be congested at certain times. Reagan is the easiest of the three.

Depending on traffic:

National/Reagan International Airport is 15 minutes to the Yours Truly hotel; Dulles International Airport is 35 minutes; and Baltimore Washington Airport is 65 minutes.

Day-of-Wedding Transportation. Metro isn’t available to the church, so you'll need to drive, Uber, or Lyft. It’s a 10- to 15-minute drive from the hotels listed above. Shuttle buses will be provided from the church to the reception (about 30 minutes away) and, at the end of the evening, back to the church and to the Yours Truly hotel. (See the FAQs for more details—click here.) Be sure to reserve a seat on the shuttle bus when you RSVP.

Uber and Lyft are plentiful in DC and easier to call than taxis. (Taxis, on the other hand, are easy to get at the airports and may be less expensive than Uber/Lyft.)

Metro. The metro serves both National/Reagan and Dulles airports. Travel time is about 15 minutes from National to Foggy Bottom (which is a short walk to the hotels listed above) on the blue line and 50 minutes from Dulles to Foggy Bottom on the silver line.

The Dupont Circle metro (red line) is also a short walk from the hotels, and both it and the Foggy Bottom stop are great for sightseeing if you are staying in the city for a few days.

Unfortunately, there is not a metro stop near the church, reception, or Georgetown.
